This workshop explores how the structure and organisation of family systems shape and are shaped by the individuals within them. It will offer perspectives on how families organise roles, responsibilities, and boundaries, and how they manage emotional tasks and conflict across different stages of the family life cycle. Using a systemic lens, the session will consider how family transitions and patterns both influence and are influenced by individual members’ experiences, behaviours, and interactions.
This workshop will enable participants to increase their understanding of how to assess and work with clients in context, taking account of family dynamics.
