Some of the most powerful moments in therapy are never spoken. A glance, a pause, a shift in tone — these subtle signals carry meaning and can open the door to deeper connection.

This interactive workshop is designed for therapists and helping professionals who want to move beyond words and strengthen their ability to tune into the unspoken. Together, we’ll explore how intuition, presence, and non-verbal communication can enrich the therapeutic relationship and enhance healing.

You’ll leave with:

  • Fresh insight into the role of silence, gesture, and embodied presence in therapy
  • Practical ways to listen beneath words and respond with attunement
  • Tools to trust and refine your clinical intuition
  • A renewed sense of confidence in your capacity to connect deeply with clients

Join us for three hours of experiential learning, reflection, and practice — and discover how to unlock the silent language that transforms therapy.

Presenter: Ellie Fourie MHSc

I trained at AUT in 2018 and since then have worked primarily with clients through the ACC sensitive claims service, supporting people navigating complex trauma and personality-related challenges.

I also have experience working alongside clients facing grief and the impact of serious physical injuries, including spinal and brain injuries. My approach is integrative, and I often draw on Schema Therapy and EMDR to help clients find new ways of understanding themselves and moving forward in their healing. I also run my own group private practice in Albany.
