2025 NZPsS Annual Conference, The University of Waikato, Hamilton- 28  to 31 August

Kotahitanga - Uniting for Collective Wellbeing

Academic Programme Convenors: Professor Bridgette Masters-Awatere,  Dr Rebekah Graham & Dr Erin Tahauri

We warmly invite you to join us at the New Zealand Psychological Society Annual Conference and AGM. This year we are coming together with the theme Kotahitanga – Uniting for Collective Wellbeing. The 2025 Conference offers opportunity to share research, insights, and practices that contribute to the wellbeing of individuals, communities, and society as a whole. Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, student, or policymaker, your voice shapes the practice of psychology in Aotearoa New Zealand. We encourage delegates to submit an abstract to the academic committee for consideration. The academic committee are particularly interested in abstracts that will engage in meaningful kōrero, demonstrate collaborative endeavours, and/or create a shared understanding of psychological wellbeing that aligns with the Society’s commitment to honour He Whakaputanga and Te Tiriti or Waitangi. Let’s unite in the spirit of Kotahitanga to inspire, learn, and make a difference together.

We look forward to seeing you at Conference 2025!  There are several registration options available as you can see from the table below. Please choose carefully. Also please note that Member and NZPsS Student fees are only selectable/visible to those who hold this status and are logged in to Gecco.

When registering – make sure that each day/workshop/event you want to attend is ticked before moving forward.
If you want to attend the whakawhanaungatanga on the evening of the 29th Aug – this is a complimentary drink and nibbles for conference delegates – you will need to tick that box on the selections.

The Conference & Awards dinner on 30th August is also optional and is an additional cost on top of the conference fee. The cost is $80 – it is a two course dinner and includes one drink. Also included in the price is a performance by the Harmonic Resonators – we will ensure there is sufficient space for those who like to dance 😊
